Little Rock Foundry and Machine Shops
The
Jacimore Building once housed the Little Rock Foundry and Machine
Shops, which was established in 1866. The owner has an
abstract of the property dating back to 1832. The oldest tenant in the
building was D. R. Wing, a harness manufacturer. Viewable on the
right is an 1894 ad for the Wing & Stephens Company.
This property would make a fabulous restaurant site with great views of
the Arkansas River or an upscale condo building. With over 6,000 square
feet of off street parking available, it makes the building a very
desirable place to live or work. It would be a unique setting for mixed
use, such as residential use on the top floor, restaurants on the second
floor and retail shops on the first floor.
Located just west of the Clinton Presidential Library site, it is an
ideal location for just about any commercial endeavor. Centrally
located, it is only a half-block from the new First Security Building
with a 650 vehicle parking deck.
